Lay Liturgical MinisterS of the Church
Lay Ministers perform the ministry under the direction of the Rector or Church Wardens and Vestry. To become a lay minister individuals typically need to be confirmed communicants in good standing of a parish, have the support from the clergy and vestry, complete required training, and be licensed by the bishop, where necessary.
A lay liturgical minister may serve in worship services in a number of important positions, including acolytes, torch bearers, crucifers, lectors, greeters and ushers. Another liturgical lay ministry is that of the Lay Eucharistic Ministers who is trained to take the communion elements to our parish shut-ins and those in the hospital.
If you are interested in becoming a Lay Liturgical Minister please contact Fr. Rick Gomer or call the church office for more details.
